After a crazy few weeks in Europe I can finally catch up here! After the event in Malta the cars were transported to Switzerland for a demo before heading onto Round 4 of the Drift Allstars in France.
Wheels Fest was a new idea from organiser Nadia Boudjenane. A festival atmosphere around a racetrack bringing all Extreme sports together including FMX, Skateboarding and most importantly drifting.
Tyres laid on for us to burn through..... Awesome!!!
There’s always been a debate weather drifting is an extreme sport or a motorsport and in my eyes, in Europe anyway it’s defiantly an Extreme sport and fitted in perfectly with all the action during the weekend.

The festival was run over the Saturday and Sunday with 6 half hour demos on track in all. It was great to have such a chilled out atmosphere and just drift for fun instead of having the pressure of competition bearing down on us.
The car ran flawlessly all weekend and the crowd at the event were crazy… every bend we came around there was people cheering and really getting into the spirit of the event.
Switzerland seems to be very strict on motorsport and hopefully this demo will open doors for the future. Maybe a round of the Drift Allstars Championship in 2011???? Time will tell I guess!!
